The following locations are good places to take a break along the Biwaichi route.

Koto area

• Lawson near the Lake Biwa Bridge
• Lawson in Omihachiman

There are also convenience stores scattered along the route beyond Omihachiman.

Kohoku area

• Before the first mountain pass: Kohoku Midori Station
• Before the second mountain pass: Lawson or “Ajikama no Sato”

It is a good idea to take a break and stock up on water and food before entering the mountain passes.
